Popping Your Kernel

I've never been a fan of compiling kernels. Now that those kernels run on machines that process code written by physcisits that believe Fortran was the apex of programming, I'm even less excited about doing so. Nonetheless, that is what I have to do. In order to make Lustre/OFED 1.2/rhel 4.5 kernel 2.6.9-55 all work together as a close-knit power ranger style team, I have to compile all three at the same time. How annoying!
